Telstra Changes Datapack Plans.
WARNING

Telstra has bowed to pressure from the market and significantly dropped it's Next G mobile datapack plans.

The $10/month plan which used to give a mere 20mb now gives 150mb for the same price. (Other telstra next g plans have followed suit). This change still leaves Telstra as the most expensive mobile phone data pack provider, but is a good step in the right direction. However - they have upped their excess usage charge by 66%. It is vital that if using Next_G datapacks you are aware of your usage limit and do not exceed as the excess charges are extremely heavy. We have had clients with a bill for 1 month excess usage in the thousands!

Microsoft to halt sales of Windows XP.

Microsoft is scheduled to stop selling its Windows XP operating systems today to major PC distributors, despite protests from PC users who don't want to be forced into using XP's successor, Vista. The good news is that Microsoft will still continue to allow smaller resellers to purchase it for another 6 months.

A quick reminder, that you should consider making a permanent backup of your stock, data and finance files as at the end of the financial year. On many occasions, people have needed to know what their figures were at the end of the financial year, and a backup allows you to retrieve this information in the future, as well as adding to the assurance that you have a backup of your data files.!

Microsoft have just released the log awaited SP1 for Windows Vista. Those running Vista may want to consider upgrading to SP1 but we would recommend waiting a week or so first to ensure that any possible problems are found by other users first.
